2 Ingredient Baklava!

2 ingredient baklava with puff pastry and Peppertux Pistachio Butter

Craving baklava but can't hop on a plane to Turkey? No problem! Our 2-Ingredient Baklava using puff pastry and Peppertux Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream is your next best ticket to dessert paradise. This quick and easy recipe delivers all the rich, flaky, and nutty goodness of traditional baklava without the fuss. This baklava hack is a delicious passport to authentic flavor!


  • 1 box of puff pastry (make sure you use the one with real butter inside!)
  • 1 cup
    • Peppertux Original Pistachio Butter (most recommended for this recipe)
    • Peppertux Pistachio Cream OR
    • Peppertux Unsweetened Pistachio Butter + 4 tbsp sugar
  • Optional: pistachio flour to garnish


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Line a tray with parchment paper and set aside. 
  • Gently roll out puff pastry (don't flatten otherwise you won't have a puffy baklava).
  • Cut puff pastry into 1" squares and place them on the baking tray, 1/2" apart. 
  • Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden. 
  • Let the pastry sit on a baking tray for 5 minutes. 
  • Cut each pastry in half horizontally. Spread 1 tbsp Peppertux Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream on top of each half and cover it back on top. Sprinkle pistachio flour on top of each baklava to garnish and voila! There you have your magnificent pistachio dessert!
