High-Protein Cottage Cheese Pistachio “Ice Cream”

We've all seen the viral food trend on social media where influencers created "ice cream" using cottage cheese. If you want ice cream but feel guilty, cottage cheese ice cream is a great substitute. This version adds even more flavor by adding in our decadent pistachio butter or pistachio cream into the recipe. 



  • 16 oz whole milk cottage cheese
  • Any of the following works for this recipe
    • 3 tbsp Peppertux Unsweetened Pistachio Butter + 1/4 cup maple syrup OR
    • 1/4 cup Peppertux Original Pistachio Butter
    • 1/4 cup Peppertux Vegan Pistachio Cream
  • Optional: chopped pistachios and/or 1 tbsp of Peppertux Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream to garnish


  • Using a high-powered blender or food processor, add cottage cheese, Pistachio Butter (+ maple syrup if using unsweetened pistachio butter) or Pistachio Cream and blend until smooth.
  • Place in a container and freeze for 4 hours.
  • Drizzle Peppertux Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream on top and enjoy!
