The Best Pistachio Chocolate Bar Recipe (aka Dubai Chocolate or Kataifi Chocolate or Knafeh Chocolate Bar)

We’ve all seen our social media accounts blow up with the viral pistachio chocolate bar. The original recipe originates from Dubai and has pistachio butter and tahini. Our version is simpler with our delicious pistachio butter or pistachio cream, and you don’t even need the tahini because this version is purely decadent and has so much flavor alone. A must try indeed!

The Best Pistachio Chocolate Bar Recipe (aka Dubai Chocolate or Kataifi Chocolate or Knafeh Chocolate Bar)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded kataifi or knafeh, which is shredded phyllo dough you can find online or in middle eastern supermarkets
  • 1/2 cup Peppertux Farms Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream. Any one of the following works for this recipe
    • Peppertux Farms Unsweetened Pistachio Butter (if you like your chocolate to be less sweet)
    • Peppertux Farms Original Pistachio Butter
    • Peppertux Farms Vegan Pistachio Cream
  • 16 oz dark chocolate, melted

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Melt butter in a large pan. Add in kataifi / knafeh and toast until it turns golden brown and becomes crunchy. Set aside to cool.
  • Combine Peppertux Farms Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream with the kataifi / knafeh.
  • Melt chocolate and fill the chocolate mold ever so slightly, just barely enough to fill the bottom and sides of the mold. Place in freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Fill the chocolate mold with the pistachio mixture. You should be very generous - the more you fill in your mold, the tastier your chocolate bar will be.
  • Cover the pistachio mixture entirely with the remaining chocolate. Place in freezer for 15 minutes to solidify. Enjoy!
