Best Pistachio Ice Cream Recipe

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1⁄4 cups heavy cream
  • 2⁄3 cup sugar
  • 1⁄4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup or corn syrup
  • 4 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup
    • Peppertux Unsweetened Pistachio Butter
    • Peppertux Original Pistachio Butter OR
    • Peppertux Pistachio Cream


  • Over medium heat, whisk together 1.5 cups milk, heavy cream, sugar, simple syrup and salt. Bring to a boil.
  • In a separate bowl, combine corn starch and the remaining milk. Pour mixture into the ice cream base and cook for another couple of minutes. 
  • In a separate bowl, place cream cheese and pour in hot ice cream base, whisking until well combined. Pour cream cheese mixture back into the rest of the ice cream base. 
  • Turn off heat, mix Peppertux Pistachio Butter or Pistachio Cream into the ice cream base. Seal and refrigerate overnight.
  • Process ice cream in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Enjoy!
